In 2004, Momtolo earned about $10 a day as a house keeper, $3 of which went to cover her taxi fare to and from work. She quit after her arthritis and blood pressure kept her bedridden for two months.
RIGHT:
2014. After nearly two decades, the government finally built houses in her neighborhood. Momtolo was one of the first in her area, Site C, to receive a brick house. She now receives a pension of $200 a month and takes care of her grandchildren.
